Computer science is a vast and multifaceted field that encompasses the study of computing, algorithms, programming, and the underlying principles that govern the behavior of digital systems. It covers a wide array of topics including computer hardware and software, algorithmization, information technologies, artificial intelligence, and information security.

At its core, computer science is concerned with the fundamental concepts of computation, information processing, and problem-solving. It involves the study of algorithms, which are step-by-step procedures for solving problems, and the analysis of their efficiency and effectiveness. Programming languages are central in computer science, facilitating communication between humans and machines for software development and system operation. Computer science also encompasses the design and development of software, the hardware that supports it, and the interactions between these components.

Overall, computer science is a dynamic field that continues to evolve, providing the foundation for various professions and skills in the 21st century education system.

The Computer Science module (1) is intended for the 1st Year Common Core in Science and Technology. This study program enables students to acquire knowledge about the basic components of computers and introduces them to the field of programming. This foundation will help them build both a theoretical and practical base of fundamental knowledge in computer science.
