The course “Composite Materials” aims to: - Identify and classify the different types of composite materials and their constituent components.
- Explain the roles of the matrix and reinforcement in influencing the overall material properties.
- Analyze the relationships among microstructure, manufacturing processes, and mechanical performance.
- Evaluate and select appropriate composite materials for specific engineering applications based on design and performance requirements.

- Basic knowledge of general chemistry.
