This course covers the analysis and design of automatic control systems using frequency-domain and state-space approaches. It addresses closed-loop stability, stability margins, frequency-response analysis, and the design of classical controllers (P, PI, PD, PID, lead and lag compensators). It also introduces state-space modeling, stability analysis, controllability, observability, state-feedback control, pole placement, and state-observer design, including Luenberger observers and the Kalman filter. Tutorials, assignments, and MATLAB-based practical sessions reinforce theoretical concepts and develop students’ skills in system analysis, controller design, and simulation.
