This course introduces students to the fundamental principles of geotechnical engineering applied to hydraulic structures, with particular emphasis on earth dams, dikes, embankments, and slope stability.
Students will develop the ability to analyze seepage, evaluate soil shear strength, determine earth pressures, and assess slope stability using classical and numerical methods. The course also covers foundation systems and stabilization techniques used in hydraulic engineering projects.
