Structure 2 is an advanced structural design course in the Master 1 Architecture program.
The course emphasizes the role of structure as a fundamental component of architectural form, alongside function. It introduces students to the diversity of construction approaches and familiarizes them with complex, special, and spatial structural systems. Particular attention is given to the relationship between structural behavior, material properties, architectural expression, and regulatory requirements.
Through lectures and tutorials, students develop the ability to analyze structural solutions, understand technical reports and engineering missions within the building process, and make informed decisions when selecting appropriate structural systems for a given architectural project.
