The course focuses on the sociological analysis of assessment processes and tools, the relationship between assessment, teachers, and learners, and the impact of educational policies and school contexts on assessment practices.

It also addresses key issues such as examinations and testing, the hidden curriculum, cultural capital, and assessment in educational research, while exploring the future of assessment in light of technological transformations and artificial intelligence. The course aims to equip students with the ability to apply sociological knowledge to critically understand assessment practices and propose more equitable and effective alternatives.
