تمثل البيداغوجيا التطبيقية في مجال تدريس التربية البدنية والرياضية عنصرا رئيسيا في منهاج إعداد مدرّسي التربية البدنية والرياضية فهي بحق أخصب الفترات في حياة الطالب المطبق، ففيها يتعرف الطالب المطبق على أهم متطلبات مهنة التدريس ويكتسب فكرة عامة عن خصائص التعليم الناجح وكذلك ابرز طرق التدريس وكيفية استخدام الوسائل التعليمية وكيفية تقويم التلاميذ وهذا من خلال مجابهته للمواقف الحقيقية التي تصادفه أثناء عمله مع تلاميذ  المدرسة ويتعرف على نظام المدرسة وكذلك على الأنشطة المدرسية ودورها في تحقيق الأهداف التربوية.

لهذا يعتبر مدرّسي التربية البدنية والرياضية من أهم الأدوات الحقيقية لنماء المجتمع ويمثلون أهم فئة عاملة فيه حيث أنهم مسئولون عن تعليم أبنائنا و تربيتهم وتوجيهيهم نحو الطريق السليم والصحيح من خلال بناء شخصيتهم المتكاملة التي سوف تؤثر بالطبع على بناء المجتمع في جميع مجالاته.
