An introduction to the fundamental concepts and key theories underlying Python programming adapted to architecture. The course aims to introduce students to the basics of programming through the Python language, with an emphasis on its applications adapted to modeling, automation, and data analysis in the field of architecture. It also aims to develop algorithmic logic and practical skills for solving problems specific to architectural design. Finally, the course offers an introduction to advanced uses of Python
in the architectural context, including data manipulation, scripting for CAD/BIM software, and data visualization and exploitation for architectural projects.

This seminar is a space for reflection, exchange, and intellectual maturation. It directly prepares students for thesis research work and for their future posture as architects and/or researchers.

Le DEX se prononce au pluriel car en réalité il s'agit de plusieurs dossiers: architecture, génie civil, CES et VRD. Avec leurs documents écrits qui les accompagnent forment la phase qui comprend tous les détails cohérents capables d'aborder la réalisation du projet sans équivoques ni contradictions. Le travail est pluridisciplinaire mais pour qu'il soit performant, il doit se faire de manière interdisciplinaire et en parfaite coordination. Le DEX d'architecture demeure le fond des plans des autres dossiers d'exécution. C'est la pièce maîtresse et l'élément pivot dans le processus général de conception et même dans la réalisation. Dans une première phase, les étudiants sont appelés à élaborer le DEX architecture (continuité de la phase esquisse et avant projet élaborés au semestre 1). En deuxième phase, ce sont les CES et les VRDs qui feront l'objet du 2ème exercice du semestre 2.
