Introduction

The first semester is devoted to the origins and development of British Civilisation from the origins to the 16th and 17th centuries. The course shall look into the peoples who settled and inhabited the British Isles with a special focus on the realm that is nowadays called England. Tutorials shall be devoted to the study of  documents (primary and secondary sources) on specific historical cases, events, and/or figures.
