Computational chemistry is a branch of chemistry that uses computer simulations to help solve chemical problems. It uses methods from theoretical chemistry incorporated into computer programs to calculate the structures and physicochemical properties associated with the structures of molecules, groups of molecules, and solids. Although computational results normally complement information obtained from chemical experiments, they can sometimes predict unobserved chemical phenomena.
