    • This course provides a comprehensive overview of the essential principles of phonetics and linguistics, combining foundational knowledge with practical skills.

      In Linguistics, students will:

      1- Revise the core concepts of language and linguistics

      2- Learn the difference between traditional grammar and modern linguistic theories

      3- Learn about key linguistic schools such as European and American structuralism

      In Phonetics, students will:

      1- Revise the basics of English sounds (vowels and consonants)

      2- Learn to classify English words based on syllabic structure

      3- Learn to identify and apply primary stress patterns in simple, complex, and compound words
