Course description

Structure 2 course provides an introduction to the different types of structures and an approach to complex structures (particular and spatial) by allowing the student to think about design through the structure.

It contains four (4) chapters with a series of tutorials:

• General Introduction to the Structures
• Chapter I: Long-Span Structures
• Chapter II: Mechanical behavior of bracing
• Chapter III: Analysis of the structural choices of major projects around the world (i.e., Calatrava, Andreu…etc.)
• Chapter IV: Introduction to the use of structural software
