This course, "Advanced Programming in Python," is designed for First-Year Master's students in Industrial Chemistry at Mohamed Khider University, Biskra, covering six progressive chapters. It begins with Python fundamentals (syntax, data types, control structures, NumPy/Pandas) and advances to automation techniques (file handling, web scraping, GUIs, data visualization with Matplotlib/Seaborn/Plotly). Chapter 3 covers Advanced Excel (macros, pivot tables, dashboards), while Chapter 4 introduces project management via GanttProject (Gantt charts, PERT networks, critical path analysis). Chapter 5 deepens Object-Oriented Programming (classes, inheritance, polymorphism, design patterns), and Chapter 6 introduces AI/Machine Learning data fundamentals (datasets, preprocessing, cross-validation, and key libraries like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch). Throughout, each chapter explicitly connects concepts to Process Engineering applications, such as material/energy balances, predictive maintenance, and industrial optimization.
