Practical work in chemistry is an essential part of learning and understanding the properties and behavior of matter. They enable students to gain hands-on experience working with chemicals, laboratory equipment and scientific techniques.
Through practical experiments, students can apply theoretical concepts, develop critical thinking skills and better appreciate the scientific method.
It is important to note that practical work in chemistry should always be conducted under the guidance and supervision of a qualified instructor. Safety protocols and guidelines should be followed to ensure a safe learning environment.
The practical work in chemistry module is divided into six learning units (practical work):
PW N°1: Introduction to Chemistry Lab Work
PW N°2: Preparation of Solutions
PW N°3: Acid-Base Titration
PW N°4: pH-Metric Titration
PW N°5: Redox Titration (Iodometry)
PW N°6: Redox Titration (Manganimetry)
This module is designed for first-year licence students in the science and technology common core.
