The course aims to understand, in molecular terms, how genetic information of a living organism is expressed and regulated at the levels of transcription, translation, post-translational modifications, and import into subcellular compartments. It also presents how genetic engineering tools are used to isolate and characterize genes, modify them, and transfer them between species.
