The objective of this course is to provide students with fundamental information on plants of economic importance, describing their morphology and soil and climate requirements. Each category of strategic plants has a specific management approach. Alongside theory, practical work and field trips will allow for better assimilation of the course material.

This module aims to introduce students to the fundamental principles of scientific communication. Through a theoretical and practical approach, students will learn how to structure, write, and analyze academic documents while adhering to standards of ethics and scientific integrity.

Learning Objectives:

  • Distinguish between different types of scientific writing (articles, theses, posters).

  • Master the standard IMRAD structure (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion).

  • Learn how to properly cite sources to avoid plagiarism.

  • Develop a critical mindset when reading and analyzing research articles.

  • Use digital bibliography management tools (e.g., Zotero).
