Teaching Objectives:
Understand the main groups of living organisms in terms of:
General structure,
Characteristics (taxonomy, morphology, anatomy, reproduction, ecology),
Constraints, adaptations, and evolution.
A particular emphasis will be placed on updating classification and focusing on
zoological groups with agricultural, medical, veterinary, fishery, or environmental
significance.
Students should develop an understanding of the different classes of the animal
kingdom.

Learning Objectives
This subject allows students to acquire the concepts and terminology of genetics, including the transmission of traits, DNA structure, replication, transcription, mutations, and mechanisms of gene expression regulation.
Recommended Prerequisite Knowledge
Students should have prior knowledge of nucleic acids and Mendelian genetics.
