Preface
The Practical Physical Culture course aims to provide a comprehensive and diverse learning experience for second-year students, extending beyond theoretical aspects to delve into the practical foundations of building physical strength and enhancing athletic performance. The course focuses on developing students' physical and cognitive abilities through a series of practical sessions designed to deepen their understanding of muscle-strengthening exercises and various training techniques.
The initial sessions include a diagnostic evaluation to assess each student's level in terms of physical strength, endurance, and basic knowledge about muscle building. Based on this evaluation, comprehensive training is offered to equip students with the necessary skills to perform exercises safely and effectively. The sessions cover the chest, biceps, shoulders, triceps, forearms, back, upper trapezius muscles, abdominal muscles, and finally, leg muscles in a sequence of progressive sessions.
As students progress through these sessions, they will learn not only to perform exercises but also to analyze and correct their own techniques, fostering a deeper understanding of body mechanics. Emphasis will be placed on injury prevention, teaching students how to train with proper posture and alignment to ensure long-term physical health. Additionally, the course encourages the development of critical thinking skills by prompting students to assess the effectiveness of different training methods.
The course aims to promote students' autonomy by teaching them fundamental training techniques and enabling them to execute movements correctly and safely. It concludes with a full-body beginner training program, which combines the essential elements of each muscle group, followed by a summative assessment to track the development of students' technical and physical performance.
The primary goal of this course is to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of muscle strengthening techniques and to develop their ability to apply the acquired knowledge in various training environments, enhancing their skills in supervising and guiding in the broader field of sports.

Diagnostic Evaluation Procedural Objective:
|
02 |
Session 2: Full-Body Training Using Circuit Training Procedural Objective: · Help students become familiar with the basic gym equipment. · Teach proper form and technique for fundamental exercises targeting different muscle groups. · Build a strong foundation that students can build upon in future sessions, eventually leading to their ability to teach these exercises to others. |
03 |
Chest Procedural Objective: · Teach the correct execution of movements to effectively target the chest muscles. · Guide students on proper techniques for exercises such as the bench press, incline dumbbell press, decline dumbbell press, etc. · Ensure full range of motion and proper weight management. · Emphasize correct breathing during the effort. |
04 |
Biceps Procedural Objective: · Learn optimal biceps contraction and mastery of isolation exercises. · Train students to control both concentric and eccentric movements to maximize muscle activation. · Introduce variations like supinated and pronated curls. |
05 |
Shoulders Procedural Objective: · Develop shoulder stability and master basic exercises for the deltoids. · Teach scapular stabilization to prevent injury. · Introduce students to multi-angle exercises to strengthen the entire deltoid. |
06 |
Triceps Procedural Objective: · Master techniques to isolate and effectively engage all three parts of the triceps. · Teach how to execute movements by fully stretching and contracting the triceps. · Focus on proper posture to avoid overloading other muscles (like the shoulders). |
07 |
Forearms Procedural Objective: · Work on grip strength and mastery of exercises targeting the forearm. · Teach the importance of a strong grip for overall exercises. · Learn safe exercises to strengthen wrist flexion and extension. |
08 |
Back Procedural Objective: · Strengthen coordination between the back muscles and improve posture during pulling exercises. · Master movement control in exercises like rows and pull-ups. · Teach how to activate the dorsal muscles without excessively engaging the arms. |
09 |
Trapezius Procedural Objective: · Develop trapezius strength while avoiding neck strain. · Learn to isolate the trapezius in movements like shrugs. · Emphasize posture and neck alignment. |
10 |
Abdominals (Abs) Procedural Objective: · Improve core stability and teach techniques for strengthening the abdominal muscles. · Introduce students to planking and dynamic strengthening exercises. · Master transitions between different movement planes (flexion, rotation). |
11 |
Legs Procedural Objective: · Teach the fundamentals of strengthening the lower limbs while protecting the joints. · Master the basic technique of squats and lunges, focusing on knee and hip alignment. · Introduce progression techniques to increase weight while maintaining safety. |
12 |
Beginner Full-Body Program Procedural Objective: · Integrate the learning of basic exercises into a complete routine aimed at strengthening the entire body. · Teach students how to balance their training program with exercises that target all muscle groups. · Train students on the importance of gradually increasing weight and listening to their body. |
13 |
Final Evaluation Procedural Objective: · Conduct an evaluation of students' technical and physical progress by comparing the results of the initial assessment with those obtained after 12 weeks of practice. · Assess improvement in performance and mastery of techniques learned during the semester. · Encourage reflection on the methods used and their impact on performance. |
